Computers communicate over the Internet via IP protocol, and each computer gets its own IP address consisting of numbers (IPv6 with letters as well). Since people would hardly remember such addresses, a DNS system was invented.
DNS or Domain Name System is a system for converting IP – Internet Protocol address into a web address or domain. To convert IP address into a web address and vice versa is performed by DNS servers.
